Hello - I am completely lost and I am needed assistance.
I had a video file (Mov) on my USB flash drive. I was transferring my pictures from USB to PC. During this time, I opened a video file (it was not transferring at this time) from my USB and I believe this may have corrupted the video file. It wouldn't open and said the video was corrupted.
After my pictures were done transferring, I tried moving this file to my PC and it will not allow me, saying file was corrupted. I reinserted the USB and Windows told me to scan/fix the USB before using. After scan complete - the video file changed sizes, and is a MPG however it still will not play. It does not say corrupted when I try playing, it will just come up to a black screen.
I tried using VLC, Windows Media Player, WMP Classic, Xigua, iTunes.
I have Windows 8.1.
I tried running "file repair" www.filerepair1.com but it says file is not damaged
I ran Mini Tool Disk recovery hoping I can find a previous version of it, but no luck
The file came from another HDD 1 year ago, but it was CUT AND PASTED, so I cannot run mini tool disk recovery to look for the deleted file...
Any help would be appriecated as this video file is very personal to me and I really want to get it fixed.
