Hello everyone,

Every time I am launching the Windows 7 OS I have a little problem with SVCHOST.exe, more specifically, it uses about 25% of CPU and about 1.5GB of RAM for long period of time. Having said so, it only takes this amount of resources during first 25 minutes of running, after that it changes to normal.

I know it is a system file and I cannot just shut it down, is there anything else I could possibly do?

I am attaching a screenshot. (Apologies for non-english interface, P... - CPU and Pamięć - Memory RAM)

Solution
Go to Resource Monitor (TaskManager > Performance > Resource Monitor) and there find the service which is using that much memory (in memory tab) and then Turn off the service ( I had the same issue and it was "SuperFetch or something".

In my case, it was WinUpdate. When I stopped that service, it went down immediately to near zero. I suspect that MS constantly bugging/hogging, wasting to prompt Win10 migration constantly. Insane. I will keep this one off awhile, but now need to monitor for other fixes to Win7.1; DISLIKE.
