Complex Problem with Wireless connection

HI guys,
I have been trying to solve a problem for a while now but so far no dice:

I cannotconnect to the internet using the wireless connection. I am using a MSI GT780 DXR with a Intel centrino N 130 (at least thats what the label on the laptop says).

If I uninstll alld rivers from my laptop, Windows identifies the Network adapter correctly as Intel centrino N 130 and installs it alone.

In device manager, the card shows as working correctly.
The connection however does not show up on "wireless connections" in control panel, that area is empty.

The hardware does show itself in the network adapters but if I try to look at its data it shows as "connected" with no SSID, no DNS no data transfered (yet it still shows as enebled).

I cannot DELETE the intel centrino n 130 in network adapters, and when I try to turn on/off wireless in the laptop, nothing happens.

Finally, I have tried to install drivers form both my old driver dvd (the one that came with the laptop) and updated once from intel website with no changes.

Also, I have tried to use INTEL tools for network adapters and it says that the driver is not associeated with the hardware.

And I also read somewhere that windows update has forced Intel to make a patch for its adapters (downloaded the patch from intel site, installed, still nothing).

Any ideas?

That might not be the problem: If I try to manually create a new wireless connection i get the messege "an error has occured" and that is it.
I live in a city area where there are at least 15 wireless networks around, and I am picking none of them.
