Problem with dedicated memory of intel hd 4600

Now you can see that 5.7GB is clearly not in use or it would say that next to "in-use" but you're only at 1.8GB used, so, logically that RAM isn't used.

As I said, it's just the way Windows shows it with integrated GPU's. Nothing to worry about.

But while using win 8 It just showed about 1787 mb and now how did this happen ??

Can I change this back to the previous state as of windows 8 or if it is like this is there any issues regarding the usage of ram or anything else ?

That can sometimes be done in the BIOS, if anywhere.

Any idea how ? I tried changing the DVMT to max and graphics usable to 512 MB but still no changes here but the amount of my ram got reduced :(
