Hi,
I have a WD 250gb internal laptop hard disk from which I had removed all windows components and started using as an external hard disk with a case.
I had unknowingly inserted the hard drive into a satellite tv box USB port which was actually meant for booting up the box. Since then the hard disk is being detected in disk manager and Bios but not showing in explorer. I have tried in MAC Os too and it is showing as an unresolved USB SATA bridge.

Can somebody provide me a solution for recovering the data without going to the professionals.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there Vhyvhitavya Vadlamani,

How is the drive recognized by Disk Management? It would be helpful if you provide a screenshot. In case the drive has no drive letter, you can assign one as popatim suggested.
Apart from that, I guess there is a possibility that the TV box converted the format, partitions, etc. In that case, you may need to use some partition/data recovery software.

Cheers,
