Hey guys so having bit of a situation here

- On cold boots, my pc won't turn on, No POST, no beeps, not even bios splash screen, no hdd activity.
- I can get it to boot by unplugging and plugging in the power cord multiple times and interestingly the motherboard sometimes boots to the secondary BIOS and hangs.
- Yes, it's a dualbios MB.
- But I keep plugging and unplugging till it finally boots to the primary BIOS and then the system runs fine for as long as I want! I've tried all kinds of stress tests.
- I have the system on for two days now without any problems. I put it to sleep usually because of this problem.
- It's not a new build and has been running fine since 2 years. This problem came in outta no where.

Anyone knows what the prob might be?

Solution
Your PSU is dying and the specific model that you have isn't a very good one and is known to have bad capacitors that age prematurely. Change it as soon as you can with something better otherwise you may damage your motherboard if you haven't already or something else in your system. Every time that you turn on that PSU you are taking a big risk.

Check this thread for good PSUs http://. Try to choose something from tier 1 or 2.

I am almost certain that it's your PSU that it is failing, but I'm not 100% certain. To be 100% you must test your system with another PSU. The fact that your fans spin doesn't mean that your PSU is working perfectly. Your PSU has trouble providing the proper power when you make a cold boot. In that time the PSU and its capacitors must work very hard in order to power the entire system but the CX 600 is known to have bad capacitors and when the start failing they won't be able to boot the system properly or provide enough power and it's exactly what you are experiencing right now.

If you checked the PSU link that I send you, you'll see that your PSU is in tier 4 which means that it is a bad power supply in general and that you should change it. Now imagine what would happen if a bad power supply starts failing, it could damage anything in your system and it may have already damaged your motherboard. That's why you should stop trying to cold boot with that PSU.

Check the PSU list and choose a PSU from tier 1 or 2 that fits your needs and your budget. As for the wattage you didn't mention your CPU, but since your system is not very power hungry, you should be fine with a quality 450-550 watt PSU and have some room for future upgrades. You don't need a 600 watt PSU for your current system.
