So I'm upgrading to an nvidia graphics card but I'm not exactly sure whether removing AMD Catalyst will be harmful to my cpu. Is AMD Catalyst only for graphics? Also how can I remove all of my amd graphics drivers from my computer? I want to do a fresh install for my nvidia graphics card.

I would personally use a certified clean removal utility like this one from AMD --->>>http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx

It removes any trace of AMD drivers and software cleanly, when it says to restart, turn off your PC, remove your old GFX card, insert your new one, restart. Good Luck!

Which is the correct driver for AMD A10 - 5750m APU with Radeon HD 8650G? (Lenovo G505s); I am trying to install the new drivers, but it keeps saying on RAPTR found a new driver, is ready to be installed, which I just updated. Is this laptops APU and graphics card considered legacy drivers category or is Crimson supported? TY for all who have read and offer solutions!
