I'm building a pc for my sisters (keep in mind they're pretty young, so they only play like minecraft and sims)

So is a AMD FX 6300 and a GTX 750 Ti a good combo for less demanding games?

750ti got thrashed in drivers (usual nvidia practice at this point) so either get a 950 or go AMD with a 260X/270 (minimum 2gb tho)
The 6300 is a waste of money considering you'll need a pretty decent mobo for it - my advice: either snipe yourself a cheap 2500K + mobo OR get a skylake i3 (low-end i3). Both will perform much better than the FX6300

750 ti got thrashed in the drivers? got any more info proof? Its a current card with Maxwell tech, so i doubt that.

On the original crysis...

Strange how another site that doesnt need a login shows the 750 ti doing just fine on Crysis.

FX 6300 + CM Hyper 212 Plus or EVO + Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P + 750ti would be just fine for them.

FX 6300 at stock runs like an i5 4440, overclocked runs like a 4460-4590. It can handle up to a GTX 970 without issues.

The 750ti GPU is the weak link in that build though and will hold you back a bit.

If you're not an overclocker, a locked i5 and H-series motherboard would be a better option instead of an i3. But will cost slightly more.

@RobCrezz What part of "got thrashed in drivers" did you not understand ?! You are linking an article from February 2014. Using those drivers can you run new games like Witcher 3 / MadMax or enjoy new features that require an up-to date drivers and GFE? I think not!

So show proof then without linking to a site that requires a subscription. Im pretty sure its bullshit, if anything its just a driver bug which would be fixed in the next release.

So one video of bad performance, which is more likely a bug than being "thrashed" in the drivers.... right.
