well my old asus mb has software that alow to run sli whitout bridge i think but im not sure . i was thinking that if it says SLI READY it dosnt require a bridge . thanks a lot.
btw evga doesnt supply bridges when u buy cards - shame
Although the bridge is not explicitly required to enable 2-way SLI with most GPUs, it provides a dedicated communication pathway for the GPUs to exchange data across. When this link is not present the PCIe bus will become the means of communication, which can degrade performance. 3-way and 4-way SLI configurations must use the bridge as a result of the amount of data being shared.
