Recommended Raid Controller for windows 10, server 2012 r2 with at least 4 ports

I am running a virtual home lab and i want to get experience with raid 5. I would like to run 4 hdd in a raid with another drive running the OS. The OS is either going to be windows 10 or windows server 2012 r2. I am on a budget but i would like to have something decent. I would like to spend around $200 to $300.

Motherboard: 78LMT-USB3
Processor: AMD FX 8350 (not overclocked)

I was looking at the LSI SAS9260-4I Sgl Raid 4PORT Int 6GB Sas/sata Pcie 2.0 512MB but was not sure if this supported windows 10 or server 2012 r2 and if they might be a better one out there for the price.

I have a 250 GB HDD now that was i was thinking of running the OS on and just plugging that into the motherboard while the 4 disk raid would be in the r port raid card running the raid 5, If that would work?

The Win 8.1 driver should work for win10 as well. And concerning the hardware raid: the write parity calculations off load is basically the only thing that is done in hardware on modern controllers like this. Anyway: have fun playing with it and remember: raid has nothing to do...

Experience as well as it would be nice to protect the operating systems on the virtual lab. Do You have a model you would recommend that would work on Winn 10 or Winn server 2012 r2
