My R7 240 2GB GPU keeps reverting to its original settings when i try to underclock it.

I use MSI Afterburner to underclock my GPU. I set it to 700 MHz Memory Clock and it stays like that until i open Facebook or similar pages. This is where the revert kicks in, it goes back to 900 MHz to it's original Memory Clock.

It makes it impossible to play games with Facebook opened. My GPU crashes when i play games with 900 MHz memory clock and that's the reason i underclocked it. It crashes mostly when i play WoW and similar games.

That's going to be your problem. I would try another PSU from another computer to confirm if its the culprit. If you don't have another one available, I would just purchase a decent 500w unit such as

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Continuous-Warranty-Supply-100-W1-0500-KR/dp/B00H33SFJU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446058518&sr=8-1&keywords=500w+psu

or

or

depending on your budget. Just keep in mind, the cheaper you go, the more likely the PSU will have a failure.

So you're saying that it's not a GPU problem ? My CPU is Core i5-4440S and have 8gb of ram.
