I don't think you can reach 600 fps, as i'm almost positive theres a 300 fps cap, but i have a r9 280 that gets 300 fps, and its just nice to be buttery smooth, also cs go is not extremely gpu intensive so it is easy to get high fps

gtx 980 is overkill LMAO do you think that the newer tech might actually have a negative impact on performance because of the newer architecture?
Unless your going to OC the 980 (considering if it will make a deference on an older game) you might want to get an older card like the NVIDIA Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 4GB GDDR5, just don't do anything stupid like pay the $500-$1000+ some sellers are asking for it. You can get one for $250
Gtx 980 is overkill, and the frames he wants are overkill. Normally I would never suggest a 980 for cs go, but he wants 600 fps, so the 980 is the way to go
only reason i want alot of fps because im going to stream and when i first buy a gpu i want a good one that i can play on for a while and not needed to upgrade after 1 year
