How do I setup D-Link DSL-2750U modem/router to provide Internet access via Ethernet cable to Asus RT-AC66U router?

My first post in Tom's Hardware. I OFTEN find that web searches lead me here, but I've never posted. A big thanks to all the help this forum provides, which has helped me a lot across the years.

I have a D-Link DSL-2750U modem/router. And I have an Asus RT-AC66U wireless router that I want to use for my Internet access; it is not a modem. I'll use an Ethernet cable to connect the two. I only need the D-Link for its modem. If I can continue to use it as a second wireless access point, great, but I don't have to if it would be better for me not to. How do I configure this in the settings of the D-Link. Am I trying to setup the D-Link as a bridge, or what? Right now, by just connecting the two, I have Internet access with the Asus, but I'm having various issues and I don't think I've got it setup right.

I know how to get to the settings of both devices. If you are able to give me precise directions, great. But if not, pointing me in the right direction will help.

Thanks in advance for the help.

There are two different methods for Netgear router setup which include,
1. Manual setup
