Have you had your linux setup long?

What is your level of expertise?

What is your hardware, ie. age, power, bits and pieces.

If you have a steady state system that you have been using awhile then it is much
like windows. Save your stuff like personal files and documents and make a list of
your most necessary apps.

If you are just trying out a couple of different linux releases then simply download
the next attempt and install using your previous experience to speed things up and
fix all the little niggles and bumps.

If you are searching for something then the best way is to describe your needs and
what is standing between you and them and let other people lend their experience
and expertise rather than doing the distro dance so many before you have done
often to excess, of over a hundred installations and two or three dozen promising,
at the moment, variations on a theme.

You are not alone.
