I am having issues with the refresh rate of my gaming experience.
I seem to always have screen tearing, whether I am on max settings, or on min settings. Whether I go down to 1 monitor with SLI, or 3 monitors without SLI. I have all the monitors going through DVI, and each one is set at 144hz through nvidia control panel. Latest updates have been installed from NVIDIA geforce experience. I am not sure how to change my set up so that when my games play at 144hz, there is no screen tearing when I rapidly move in such games as Far Cry 4 and Call of Duty. When playing games like League of Legends, the same thing occurs when I scroll to the other side of the map and when there are too many units on the screen, my fps drops from 144 to 120-130 and it is noticeable. Any ideas on how to fix this? Also, this issue was existent before the upgrade to windows 10. Thanks for the help.

Computer Specs:
3 ASUS VG248QE monitors with a refresh rate of 144hz
windows 10 64 bit
2 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

If you don't have Gsync (FreeSync for AMD user) the only sure way to elimimate screen tearing is by using vsync. Even if the framerates lower than refresh rates screen tearing still happen although it might not as pronounced as when the frame rates above refresh rates. And in some games (probably game engine dependent?) even if the frame rates are well below monitor refresh rates the tearing are very visible to the eyes. Personally i'm quite sensetive even to slight screen tearing hence i pretty much use vsync in every game that i play. If you don't want to use vsync your only option will be using Gsync monitors.
