So I recently built my computer with my friend. In online builds they didn't include a disc drive so I didn't buy one. Now I think that I need one correct? And I also need windows 10 or 7 but I want it at a cheap price. Are there any places? My parents don't want to burn another 100 on my PC. So ami right? All I need is a disc drive and windows disc? And please any places for cheap of free windows ! I do not own windows so I can't do the free upgrade. Thank you guys

Windows isn't free, but you can install from a USB drive. You need a license for it (a product key), and it's easy to make a USB stick boot the Windows installer.

If you want windows you'll need to pay for it and buying it from a legitimate source it's going to be around ~$90.

And you can install windows from a usb drive so an optical drive isn't needed, but if you want one they are fairly cheap.

i've done it this way and its fully activated and legit.
