Hello all,
I have a computer in my room that only connects through a ethernet cable, no wireless. Currently my computer is set up across the house from my wireless router. I have another computer set up there with no room for another (so I can't just move mine there)
My friend came over with his laptop recently and we hooked up both computers with an ethernet cable. He shared his WiFi connection with my computer and I was able to go online. I was thinking, it would be nice if I could do that with my smartphone (galaxy s3), as I don't have a laptop to do it with.
I plugged my phone in via usb to my computer and managed to share an internet connection. However, it only works when I am using 3G, and I have very bad reception in my room. Not to mention I don't have an unlimited data plan. Is there any way I can connect my phone to a wireless network, then share its connection with the computer, without using 3G?
