i have two 4GB DDR3 RAM sticks each of 1600MHz but on system properties it is showing only 3.47GB usable. I'm using Windows 7 32Bit OS and 1 GB Nvidia graphics card installed. Can you provide me any solution to the problem ? i have tested each slot and both the RAM sticks and slots are working perfectly fine.

Ohh i get it windows 7 32 bit OS supports only maximum of 4GB address space. Thanks guys.... Greatly appreciate it

Yeh, 32 bit only allows about 3.5 gb, not even 4

My ram went from 16gb to 15.9 when I added 2 8gb Hyper x at 2133. I was using 2 samsung 8gb at 1600. I'm running windows 10. Is this normal or did I install it wrong?

15.9 is correct. The term "Gigabyte" gets thrown around and is not always 1 billion bytes in specifications.

Thank you for answering me and I believe I understand. I've switched RAM sticks many times but I never ran into an issue like this. In the past the full RAM was available and listed in the system. It's rare for Mr to find something new like this with laptops. Been working on them for years. As long as I still have my 2133ghz performance I can live with just 15.9gbs. Lol.
