Hi,
I was wondering if someone can advise me as to what I should pay attention when building a PC for Photo Editing and Pre-press work. Programs that will be mostly used are Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Preps, some Premiere Pro and Lightroom.
For the life of me I can't remember the site where I found an End All PC Build so that I can post the specifications which was for gaming but I'm guessing I won't be needing something as bomb as that though I am looking for the PC to be a long lasting one (for 5 years at least).
No Gaming will be going on, only web-surfing.
Also any advise on monitors? I had read somewhere that the display needs to be a mat one so that the printing result will resemble the one on the screen and not a glossy but I don't know much else.
Once some of you good people tell me what to look for in CPU, Motherboard, Memory etc I'll post a Build to get opinions on. FYI I'll be looking for the components in my country since importing is just too expensive so it's not guaranteed that I will have much of a selection.
