This has never happened to me before.
2 usb devices (Blue Yeti & Razer kraken) that I use on a daily basis suddenly don't work. The LED's and everything are there, but windows wont recognize it. It doesn't show up under playback devices. At first I suspected it's a problem with the front USB ports, but I connected both the Yeti and the Kraken to the rear ports (even where my keyboard & mouse is at) and it still didn't recognize. The weirdest thing is, it works on a different computer. It's like my PC suddenly hates these 2 specific devices. I tried nearly everything but nothing works and I have no idea how to even google this issue. I didn't see anyone with the same issue and I'm really frustrated, I was hoping someone here might know how to fix this

EDIT: I FIXED IT! I FOUND THE SOLUTION! I will share exactly what I did so no one feels the same frustration I felt during these 2 days. I've tried everything, I tried to google this issue but no one had the same problem. I tried to download microsoft FixIt, I tried to uninstall USB hosts and reinstalling them multiple times, I tried to completely shutdown my computer for several hours and see if it works. I tried everything but nothing works, and the weirdest thing is that on a different computer these devices worked perfectly and they have no drivers, they're PnP (Plug n' Play). So, what was the problem? It's not the USB ports, it's not the actual devices, it's just windows being stupid. Windows sometimes decides that PnP devices should stop working for whatever reason. To fix it, go to Device Manager and locate the device you're having problems with (should have a small yellow warning sign near the icon) right click and click the first option called "update.." and click the 2nd option (My PC is in hebrew and the translation is weird so here's a picture: http://i.imgur.com/wQgAIPu.png ) after that, click the 2nd option again ( http://i.imgur.com/TtMSpo8.png ) and from there on just click "Next" again and again until it starts updating. Repeat this process to each device that has the little yellow warning sign next to it. NEVER in my entire life have I struggled this much trying to resolve a problem.

Hello Clear, have you checked if USB selective suspend is enabled? You can adjust that by clicking on the battery icon on the task bar at the bottom of your desktop, then clicking more power options, change advanced power settings, find USB settings, expand it to USB selective suspend setting, and make sure it is Disabled on both battery and plugged in. Another thing you can try is right clicking your start button, go to Device Manager->Universal Serial Bus controllers-> Right click USB Root Hub->Properties, select the Power Management tab, Make sure Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power is unchecked.

Try booting into safe mode, and see if either work. If they are working, then right click the start button and choose run.
Type "msconfig" and press enter.
This will open a System Configuration Window.
Click on the General tab, under selective startup, uncheck the load startup items box
Uncheck the box next to Load Startup Items.
Next Click on the Services tab.
Check off Hide All Microsoft Services, click Hide All.
Click ok , then restart your computer.
If they start working, then there is a possible service that is somehow causing interference with their operation.

Some other things that you can try are to reinstall the drivers
You can also right click each USB hub listed and uninstall those then reboot your computer. This will reinstall the USB controller.

Hey! thank you so much for the reply.
I forgot to mention that It's not a laptop (since you told me to click on the battery icon on the task bar which is only for laptops I believe) but I managed to find the setting you mentioned on control panel and I disabled "USB selective suspend". I replugged the 2 devices but they still don't work.

About reinstalling the drivers, I tried to uninstall each USB hub listed and reboot, I did it multiple times but it didn't work.
The 2 devices appear under "Other devices" as seen here: http://i.imgur.com/opnwP5J.png ONLY these 2 devices are there. I also tried locating the front USB ports I was using and reinstalling those too but it didn't work as well.

I didn't try the safe mode thing yet, I'll try it later since I don't have much time at the moment.
Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks again!

I formatted my pc exactly 1 week ago so I believe it's updated. Anything else I could try?

Ah yes, so you found it through power options in control panel? Were you able to locate the power management setting in the usb hub?

Have you tried uninstalling the driver with the mic unplugged, then downloading the correct one off of their website, installing it, and connecting the mic when prompted?

Another thing you could try is testing a different cable. It may be faulty on your mic.

This is why I'm frustrated, this problem makes no sense. both the devices work perfectly on a different PC but just on this one they wont work. I'll try to explain more: Windows doesn't even give the warning that it's not recognized, it wont show under Playback / record devices, the only place where it shows is on device manager under "Other devices" with a small yellow warning sign on both devices. I can also see it at Printers and devices, this is how I see them: http://i.imgur.com/eEOx3mf.png I've tried right clicking each one and pressing every option. I also tried to uninstall each driver and reboot multiple times with no success.

While I'm typing this a window popped up saying there's an issue with PnP devices: http://i.imgur.com/xcYd6Bj.png (You can see the small yellow warning sign next to the "PnP". Any idea what to do next?

Also I really appreciate the help, thank you for your time!
