Hello,

I'm from India and I am upgrading my PC to Skylake
Specifications:
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 3
CPU - i5 6600
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming 4GB (1 X 6 pin PCI-E, 1 X 8(6+2) pin PCI-E)
RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR4 8GB
Gonna use current 2 hard disks each of 1 TB and a DVDRW

I need to choose a PSU from the following options

  • Cooler Master G550M 80+ Bronze
Cooler Master G650M (gives me the option to go SLI in future :)) 80+ Bronze
Antec Neo ECO 520W 80+ Bronze
Antec Neo ECO 620C 80+ Bronze
    Antec VP Series
    Corsair VS650W
I need to choose a cabinet from the following options

  • Cooler Master N300
    Cooler Master Force 500
    Cooler Master k380

I was thinking that Cooler Master GM series will get most votes, this review of antec influenced me to think so, in that review could anyone tell me what does Poor quality braiding mean

I was thinking that Cooler Master G550M and Cooler Master G650M have more pros

Antec Neo ECO 620C has only 2 x 8(6+2)-pin PCI-E, is it possible to buy PCI-E cables separately to use SLI and attach to the PSU or is it non modular that the cables are the only ones that come with the PSU and can't be changed?

Please suggest

The Antec uses high quality Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors. The CoolerMasters use much lower quality elite, jun fu, and capxon capacitors. The poor capacitors are a deal breaker as they will negatively effect the lifespan of the unit, especially if they get warm and to my understanding it can get rather hot in India. The Antec is a clear winner for build quality.

Shall I go with Antec Neo ECO 520C or 620C?

I think 520 watts will be enough for my build, if I purchase Antec Neo ECO 620C is it possible to have 2 X Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming 4GB SLI in future?

Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming 4GB requires 1 X 6 pin PCI-E and 1 X 8(6+2) pin PCI-E

Okay then I will go with Antec Neo ECO 520C and Cooler Master K380 is out of stock now in local store, so I am thinking of going with Cooler Master N300 instead of Cooler Master Force 500 because it has a bottom mounted PSU

Should the PSU fan face down or up?

Oh I didn't see it has a rev 1.1 as well, but I don't know which version the local dealer ordered, well I am going with Antec Neo ECO 520C because using PCI-E adapters looks like a bad choice.

Antec Neo ECO 520C has 1 x 6-pin PCI-E and 1 x 8 (6+2)-pin PCI-E so it should be fine for both rev 1.0 and rev 1.1 I am good to go with it :)

I'm confused now.

A cabinet with bottom mounted PSU is better than top mounted PSU right?

So do I check using the airflow diagram like this one to know whether bottom fan option is there or not?

There seem to be 2 versions of Antec Neo ECO series
please check this out, it has only 1 x 8 (6+2) PCI-E connector

Oh! the website from antec.com shows only one PCI-E connector, where as from www.antecindia.co.in shows 2 PCI-E connectors :??:

I better go to the local store and check out the specs on the box hope that it'll help

Hi, I've found a local distributor of Antec products, for case I've finalized with Antec GX300

Will my system do well for gaming in the future for many years like 5 maybe I game on 1600 x 900 monitor, then I can buy Antec Neo ECO 520C (4400 INR or 67 $) 1 x 6-pin PCI-E, 1 x 8(6+2)-pin PCI-E else there are,
Antec TP-750C (7400 INR or 112 $) 2 x 6+2 PCI-E, 2 x 6 Pin PCI-E
Antec HCG 900W (8800 INR or 128 $) 4 x 6+2 PCI-E

Will a PSU last long enough so that I can buy future proof PSU now itself by stretching my budget
Total build cost:
with Antec Neo ECO 520C 64400 INR or 982 $
with Antec TP-750C 67400 INR or 1027 $
with Antec HCG 900W 68800 INR or 1049 $

Unfortunately the system is not working, the display, keyboard and mouse are not working, GPU shows LED light on, it was assembled by the computer shop and now they're looking into the issue it has been 2 days but still they couldn't find the cause of the issue and my monitor has a VGA cable which the GPU doesn't support but an adapter can be used to overcome this problem

I hope all my parts are compatible with each other and that the issue gets sorted out quickly :(
