hi, i built a system yesterday using all new parts bar my GPU which i bought from a very respected Ebay seller. Over today and yesterday ive been experiencing crashes, that when occur i get small blue and green squares on my screen then they disappear. Sometimes they are BSOD sometimes it just crashes my PC and i have to manually restart, when i do manually restart i tend to get bright blue lines on my screen as soon as i boot up but they go away and the computer proceeds as normal. The past few BSOD's have given me error codes, one was realted to my bios needing flashed which i have done, the other is video_tdr_failure (nvlddmkm.sys) which is related to the driver of my GPU. Obviously to combat this i have updated my drivers, i even uninstalled them all and reinstalled the correct ones. I contacted the guy and he claims that there was no issue with the GPU when he had it so i asked a few questions about his system. The only difference is that he ran it with a HDMI cable instead of DVI which i am using and he used Windows 7 instead of 10 like me. Could either of these factors be causing this or am i dealing with a faulty gpu. The only reason why i havent assumed its a faulty GPU is because it runs perfectly fine doing anything but gaming, even when i game the temp does not reach above 60 degrees and it doesnt actually crash when im playing its only if i tab out for too long or i close the game completely that it crashes.
