So I recently bought a new pc with decent specs. The computer was a Dell Optiplex 7010 with a Core I5 processor and 4gb of ram and I checked the specs of black ops and it looked like it could run on this pc. I install the game and when I run the game, there is just a black screen with no sound but a loading cursor. Can anyone find a solution to this as I find this annoying and a big problem?

You need to list the complete details of your system spec. The GPU does most of the work in gaming. That model of Dell can be configured with a range of 5 different graphics options. You can right click the "Computer" tab, then click "Manage", then "Device Manager", and look at the Display Adapter tree, which will show what GPU you have. You should make sure your graphics driver is up to date too.

CoD BO should run on XP, Vista and W7 fine. Anything beyond that, you may need to use compatibility mode (right click the shortcut, properties, compatibility tab).

After I posted this thread, I checked the minimum specs and the gpu didn't meet the gpu requirements. Thanks for the help anyways.
