New CPU installed and now my GPU won't work?

So I finally got a New CPU (FX-6300) and now my GPU (R9 270X) isn't starting. No error beep or anything. Already tried the onboard graphics card to at least get into the BIOS but that didn't work either. Case and CPU fans are working so I don't think it's the motherboard.

And yes. The card is plugged in correctly with both 6 pin connectors. Main board is a gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3. Power supply provides 500W so maybe that's the issue. (Previous CPU was a athlon dual core (yeye. Shame on me...))

Update: reinstalled the CPU and now I at least get two beeps on the POST. Graphics card is still not moving and I still can't access the BIOS (tried onboard and normal graphics card)

Update 2: One RAM Stick died. Replaced it but that didn't fix the issue. My current guess is the mainboard . Gonna bring her to the next shop on Monday. Maybe that helps...

Update 3: Turned out that some CPU pins were slightly bent. The Graphics Card issue apparently is due to the fans only turning up after some time (probably once the heat builds up to some degree)

In this situation, I will suspect CPU as the culprit.
Are you sure it already properly placed on the motherboard? Your motherboard should be fine handle FX-6300.

I don't remember about this one, but could you please make sure that there's isn't any plastic or anything between your CPU and chip on motherboard.
Get back to us soon.

There really isn't too much to do wrong while installing the CPU is there? Turn up the pin, remove the old CPU, aline the triangles on the corner, place it in and move the pin down.

And there was no plastic as far as I can remember. (Besides the original packaging. Duh)

Motherboard was compatible.

Turned out to be a faulty CPU (pins were slightly bent) but thanks for the response.
