I just bought a new mother board and installed it today.. I got it to turn on today all fans working and lights on but nothing else is working. The one before that just died randomly.. No clue whats going on.
What mobo (as well as CPU, DRAM, GPU, etc). Best to set up using on board graphiics if it has them, then change primary graphics in BIOS to PEG/PCI-E if using a discrete GPU, also need to load mobo drivers for things like USB, LAN, etc
Im not able to access bios because theres nothimg displaying on minotor
When i connect the 4-pin cpu power connecter to psu it sparks and the motherboard shuts down
Sorry the wire does not fit in gpu so im not sure is the psu is bad or motherboard but i have tested all 4-pin coonnecter in psu with my gpu and all of them works. The end that connect in psu of cpu connector sparks
Those are totally different power connectors, the GPU is fine because you are probably using a PCI-E connector from the PSU, the mobo takes a completely different connector, generally it's a 4+4. Plugging the PCI-E connector into the mobo is likely to fry and ruin the mobo - that's prob the problem
My mobo has 4 pin cpu connector. So which is the problem mobo or psu?
Depends, may be either one, if you are seeing sparks, likely the motherboard is dead now even if you change the power supply. Only way to test is to try another power supply, but since you had some major electrical issues while installing it you may need to swap both power supply and motherboard now. And make sure you have everything hooked up properly. Did you read the manual and made sure the motherboard is in the case properly with the stand-offs all in place and power connections in the right places?
Let's start at the beginning here, did you replace the motherboard because the system stopped working after the drop or did the drop not do anything and everything was working fine? If the front and rear ports are not working that could mean you don't know how to wire up the case and other things are also not in properly or that the motherboard is bad or the case connections are damaged. Did you install the case stand-offs for the motherboard when you replaced it?
Need details about what happened in what order.
Sparking motherboards are never good and really mean there is either a short somewhere due to a poor connection or bad grounding, power supply is bad or motherboard is bad.
When the pc droped it stoped working before the drop it was running execelent, no i didn't replace the mobo. All ports werer workimg fine before thw drop. And the end that is connected to the psu of the cpu connector is spakring very fadly u might even not see it the end that is connected to mobo is not sparking. I have checked all the 4-pin ports of my psy by my gpu 4-pin and all are working but when i connect the cpu power conector in any 4-pin port it spark a bit and shutdown
