Basically, for the most part, all my other games have absolutely no lag and my ping is consistent. However, 2 games I play are an exception, Rocket League and UT4, my ping stays around 30ms for 45 seconds to 1 minute, then it jumps up to 300 ping for a few seconds then drops back down. I am on a wireless connection (and wired is not an option for me, my computer is very far away from my router and parents are paranoid assholes.)
But what doesn't make sense is why my problem is only exclusive to these two games, I'd figure all my games would be problematic but its only these two games, which confuses me. And when I use tethering on my phone to connect my pc to my router, these problems go away. Only downside to that is my upload tanks, so I can't really live stream.
My wireless connection with my usb adapter is pretty darn good, I'm actually able to livestream games in 1080p@45fps. It sucks because I have a ball with these games when I'm not lagging, and these latency spikes are just ruining them for me.
