So here's the situation, my brother, friend, and I, want to play a multiplayer game. One PC would be hosting a server, then another PC, and a laptop would join. One PC and the laptop are on the same Wifi, hard-wired, and wireless, respectively, and our friend is on his own PC with a different connection.
If we were to port forward the game's port of 7777 on our internet, and our friend does the same, could all three of us get on the same server? Would two computers have the port open from one internet connection? Or, should we use Hamachi to set up a network instead? (I would like to save that as a last resort, as port forwarding is more secure.)
