Is my RAM faulty?

Recently I have been getting a lot of computer crashes as well as Firefox crashes. I cannot download games from steam because they keep pausing on there own and wont continue when I click them up in the queue. Some of the error messages that I get when blue screens pop up are as follows: Bad pool caller, cache manager, memory management, PFN list corrupt. I also ran windows memory diagnostics and it says that I have a problem with my memory (doesn't give me specific information other than to contact the manufacturer). I did so and I can take the route of replacing the RAM, but I want to know if its only my RAM or could other things be causing issues?

My specs are as follows:
CPU: i5-4670k
GPU: Gigabyte r9 280x 3gb
MOBO: ASUS z971 plus (mini itx)
RAM: Gskil sniper 8gb
PSU: Corsair 750 watt
SSD: PSY 120gb
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
OS: Windows 10 Pro

I bought and built this rig 2 summers ago so everything is fairly new and hasn't been an issue before.

I just did a little test. Originally my system was saying that I had 8gb installed. I opened the computer and switched the RAM to the opposite slots. Now it says that I have 4gb installed. I then switched them back to the original slots and now its back at 8gb. Does this mean my mobo is the real problem and not the RAM?

I just tried what Tradesman1 suggested and here are my results. For the sake of making it easy to track everything we have RAM A, RAM B, Slot 1 and Slot 2. RAM A worked in both Slot 1 and 2 without any issues. The system recorded 4gb. When I used RAM B in Slot 1, a light on the motherboard turned red and my keyboard and screen would not turn on (remained a blank screen). I switched RAM B to slot 2 and retried the experiment. An ASUS message appeared saying something about failing to overclock and it brought me to the BIOS. I didn't touch anything and saved and exited. It brought me back to the home page and recorded that there were 4gb installed. I switched RAM B back to slot 1 which had failed the first time and it worked fine showing that I had 4gb installed. A few instances when restarting the computer I was not able top get past my sign in screen due to my keyboard not responding. In these situations my mouse was working fine so i could restart at the bottom of the screen. When I restarted the keyboard was then responding. This happened for both RAM sticks.

A few days ago I had used Windows Memory Diagnostics before I even open up my computer case to test the individual sticks. It came back with a memory issue so that's when I decided to come on here for help. However I just recently ran the test again and everything seems alright. Do you think just moving the RAM sticks around had anything to do with this? Also, could dust have a significant effect on your computer in general as I am in a rather dusty environment even though I have dust filters? Thanks. It's also worth noting that I haven't had any issues with blue screens since I started moving the RAM sticks around yesterday.

Ok so its been a week or more since I last responded and I have been having no issues in regards to blue screens or firefox crashing. However just the other day it happened again. I'm worried this issue lies deeper and that something could be wrong with the motherboard. As I stated before, my RAM is what I though was the issue. I ran windows memory diagnostics and it said there was an issue. I moved the RAM around and tried them in different slots to see if I could find out if 1 or them were dead. I could not find one. I retried memory diagnostics a second time and it said everything was fine. That was a few weeks ago and I haven't had any issues until last night. The blue screens error message was memory management.
