Hello, I am currently stuck at a divide as to which graphics card I would need.

My specs are:
Asus viii Hero Z170 Motherboard (ATX).
Intel 6600k @ 3.5Ghz.
Corsair H100i GTX Liquid CPU cooler.
16GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM (2x8GG), at a speed of 2666Mhz.
256GB Intel 730 SSD
1TB Seagate Hard Drive.
Noctis 450 NZXT Case.
Razer Black Widow keyboard.
Razer Deathadder Chroma

So far only the case has been purchased.

My primary use for the graphics card would obviously be gaming. Particularly Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield 4, Metro Last Light and Redux, Dying Light and Team Fortress 2. I would like to have recommendations as to price / performance, while also not breaking the bank.
My budget for a graphics card is a MAX of $650 AUD. (Australian Dollars).

Im looking to spend as minimal as possible, as my build is already very expensive for me.

Currently the 970 is my favorite as it is cheaper than two 960s (2GB each), but it still offers much more performance gains over a single 960 card.

Solution
Go with the 970 or the best card you can afford over two cheaper cards in SLI or Crossfire. SLI and Crossfire can be temperamental and not work on all games.
