Graphics card and power supply installation

Back again with my final questions I hope. I installed by evga 600watt power supply and the computer cuts on properly. However, after I installed my GeForce gtx 970, the monitor has no display. Also the graphics card fans cut on and then cut off. Any idea what my issue is? I've attached pictures including a pic of the supply cables labeled "cpu" and I don't know where they go. just connect the pcie labeled connector to the graphic one only 6pin and second with 6+2pin

Watch some videos on PSU Installation. If you still feel you can't do it all alone, then get someone to do it for you.

Installation should be done properly to avoid any disasters later.
