What brands should I look for from some of my certain parts like my PSU, case fans, SSDs(Maybe even what series ie the evo series from samsung), as well as the ram. I just want to know what other brands are just as good that could possibly be on sale, if the thing in my part list is not.

Solution
"For black friday/cyber monday.. '

Identify the exact parts you want.
Start looking at sale prices tomorrow. Literally, tomorrow, Saturday, Oct 31.
Troll through every major retailer, every day, until you find the part you want at it's lowest price.
(ignore the fact that it may be 'cheaper' the next day)

You can stop doing this around 15 Jan 2016.

More like what brands are good in those areas that could possibly be on sale during black Friday and cyber monday just in case my specific item I have listed isn't on sale or I can save more money on a different item. Like instead of getting "G.skill ram, Corsair ram is on sale so should I get that over the g.skill," kind of deal.

I understand what you mean now.

What is this PC going to be used for ? If you are doing predominantly gaming and light video editing you are wasting money on the i7.

I'll post up a list of alternative parts/brands in a moment.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($24.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock Z170 Extreme7+ ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($229.98 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($87.89 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($40.50 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 390 8GB Video Card ($304.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $688.25
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

For things like mouse / fans / is subjective personal preference.

I get the feeling that motherboard will be surplus to requirements as it's more 'enthusiast' grade - but i have little info to go on.

I am getting an i7 because I will be doing some graphics/light 3D modeling. Architectural design and possible dual booting and things like that. Though it will be used for a lot of gaming I am going to try and make full use of that i7, also I have had a lot of people recommend I stay with the i7 with that description I just gave. Also, @USAFRet, what sites should I look at? Just Newegg and Amazon?

Follow r/buildapcsales on Reddit for some of the deals out there and to get a good idea of what types and brands go on sale. Slickdeals is another site to follow. Signup an email account with all the major retails so you get notified of all the sales quickly. Some of the best deals sell out in a few hours or even minutes.

I bought it from B&H a week or so ago when they all went out of stock on newegg and Amazon. I don't think you will be able to get the i7 at that price. The mobo just had a promo code I think. It's $219.99 though and the i7 is $389.99

I have a very good friend who has a MicroCenter about 2 miles from his office.
However, I'm not going to bug a senior VP of a large multinational to go there and buy me stuff to save $25. Or any of his minions.
