Hello everyone, I am a first time builder and a complete novice when it comes to anything with building or upgrading PCs. I did some research and bought part that I believe should fit well together after doing some research and modifying previous builds from other people.

Here is the Link and list of what I currently have (already bought and shipped)

again, I already purchased what I believe to be a good build. If you have any notes on the build I would greatly appreciate them, but at this time I will have to build with what I have unless I have made an extreme error somewhere I may have missed.

I have never really owned a desktop computer before, so have not really known about parts, keeping up with temps, stock fans vs custom, water vs air cooling, etc...

So, for what I currently have my main question is this: with these materials and this case, how should I set up the air flow? Are there any fans I should buy to replace the fans in the case (I hear you should always replace stock fans)? How many? where intake? where outtake?

I know its alot to ask, but I really don't want to put it all together and risk messing up my first $1800 PC. I will by more/better fans if needed. Please Help!!

Note: I have read up on a few forums on this already, but I want to know specific to my build how I should proceed.

Regarding airflow, you should take note the basics: heat goes up (Airflow 101 attached). With that in mind, if you want to upgrade the exhaust, a pair of 120 fans on top of the case should do it.
Since the h440 has little room between the top of the case and the vent holes, the fans should be high performance so the deliver high static pressure and bypass this difficulty.

I chose for that a couple of corsair sp120 quiet edition, so the whole acoustic performance doesn't get degraded.

Also, you should keep in mind GTX with ACX have little to no exhaust outside the case, and all the heat produced by The gpu will be inside the case. Again, two exhaust fans on top should do the trick.

Anyway, bottom line: if you are planning OC, you may need to sacrifice acoustics in order to get fans and airflow running smoothly. If you plan to run on almost-stock speeds, stock fans should be enough.
