DDR3 vs. DDR4 RAM

Hey guys what would be the best option for gaming and maybe video editing like on sony vegas pro but more gaming i only make now and then a gaming montage
1.) 16GB DDR3
2.) 8GB DDR4

^ it is but its pretty much proven that with skylake chips running 2400 ddr4 has a fair performance improvement over even 2133mhz ddr4 & even more so compared to ddr3.

If you're doing a new skylake build then 100% go with a ddr4 mb & ram is my advice UNLESS you're on a really tight budget & already have the ddr3 ram in hand.

Think of it this way... It's cheaper and better to do things once. Just save the extra $40 and get 16gb of DDR4. Otherwise, you'll get the DDR3, then want to replace that... or get only 8gb and want to add another stick, because 8gb is rarely enough.
