Hello,
I'm looking into building a pc for $1,200, this pc will be used for daily video editing, 3d art and animating, as well as recording and streaming games. My budget is $1,200 for the tower alone so no OS,monitor, or keyboard because I have those already. I have a 50 dollar over budget limit so I can go up to $1,250 but its preferred to be at $1,200.

My build from a month ago.6600k/Asus z170 pro gaming/corsair ddr-4 2666/corsair h-90 cooler/850evo 500g /phanteks enthoo pro case/1tb Seagate hdd. Came in around 1200 with OS so knock off 100 for that. Runs like a champ. Forgot Rosewill Capstone 750 PSU and already had vid card.

GPU supportsd CUDA if you can use it. Reduce price with cheaper case or less powerful GPU.

Something I would look hard at if I were you, NOT Skylake.

This second system has six very powerful cores with twelve threads and can be overclocked to 4.5 Ghz-ish. It is better for what you want to do than the Skylake; the six last generation cores will beat for new generation cores.
