Hello, my pc has been handeling GTA V great and never had this problem before. It usually runs at over 60fps all the time, but recently it started lagging just when I start the game. When I check the activity, it says I'm using 99% of my disk space and 90% of my memory. Once again, this has not occured before. All my system temps are normal, when play gta both cpu and gpu's are around 60 degrees Celsius. It does not lag when playing anything else and all my system specs are way above the minimum requirements.

Specs:
Intel Core i7 4790k
MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4gb
8gb 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance Pro memory (2x4)
MSI z97 Gaming 9AC Motherboard
1tb SSHD

I think I have a segate 1tb sshd. Yes, I have downloaded a couple of mods that I have to remove when playing online, but sometimes in online the same problem occurs. And yes, the 8gb's of ram are showing up properly. Thanks for the help guys I'm open for more.

D/L and install SEAGATE SEATOOLS (LINK).

There is a Windows version and a DOS version. Try the Windows ver. first. If that doesn't help, or if it says no problems were found, burn the DOS ver to a bootable media (CD or USB flash drive). Boot it and run it to diagnose for problems.

Have you had a look into Windows Task Manager?

Right click on an empty space in the Task Bar and select "Start Task Manager". Open the "Processes" tab. Left click on the top of the "I/O Writes" heading and make note of any excessive activity which is unexpected. That is, any activity NOT related to your current game or known running applications. If you see a process that you don't recognize, Google it for more info. Do the same for "I/O Write Bytes".

Do you know what your Pagefile settings are?
