Just installed a new card and a new power supply to power it. Any time I try to play a game it crashes roughly 5 minutes in or less.
Specs:

Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.10240 64-bit
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate
Processor: Intel Core i5 4670K 3.40GHz
Graphics Card: XFX Radeon R9 280X
12GB DDR3 RAM
Raidmax Thunder V2 835W Power supply

I have tried updating my drivers multiple times, and have also checked the temps to make sure it was not over heating and everything appears to be fine. All of the fans are working so i figured this was not the issue. I'm not a huge techy person, I just enjoy playing games. So i'm a bit clueless on where to go from here. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it. :)

Let me know if there is anything else i need to tell you as far a specs and so on.

Does it crash when you're in Windows, does it just it just crash when you are doing tasks that consume more power?

Doing casual things (web surfing, watching videos, windows sitting) doesn't seem to bother it as I am writing all of this from the computer in question. It only seems to crash when attempting to play games.

Try doing a GPU stress test, if it crashes it's linked to the PSU, as stress tests require more power

Make sure you have the right cabling connected to your PC, for example: A CPU requires 1x4 pin power cable but your GPU will take 6+2 pin power cables. Make sure your cables are placed correctly and if your PC is just randomly shutting off during gaming it could be a fault with another part of the PC.

Try disconnecting everything and check to see if it's in the right place.

Stress tests with FurMark for 20 minutes, seemed fine, 63 fps, got a bit hot but nothing out of control

Post screenshots of test results. Watch your voltage during stress tests and make sure its not fluctuating too badly. I had a similar issue that I just resolved. My connector from psu to motherboard wasnt all the way connected (I think vibrations from fans wiggled it loose). Lucky I kept checking because I was literally about to spend 120$ for a new PSU.

Well it looks like it's now some kind of Windows, driver conflict somewhere or another.
So what I did yesterday was pull the new card and put in the old one with the new psu in it to see if it would work. It crashed shortly after starting GTAV. So then I decided to pull the new psu out and throw back in my old one with the old card. Crash again, this time in Windows. Looks like my problem got more complicated and my frustration and confusion levels got a lot higher.

What GPU did you have previously? If you did, did you delete the drivers for that GPU?
