HIDDEN Cell in Network Device List After Telemarketer Stole My Credit Card

I unfortunately have an XFinity bundle (tv,internet, phone) all going through the same modem/router. Within days of getting it, I received a telemarketer phone call before I even gave out my number. I ticked him off somehow and he began mumbling/whispering (as though he was around a lot of people and didn't want them to hear) curse words, calling me a b**** and asking if I was rich?!? Within a week I was called by my credit card company because someone made a purchase several states away from me (under $50-BTW who makes such a small charge when you have someone's credit card?). I disconnected the phone because I thought maybe he could have gotten access to my network since the phone goes through the same modem/router as internet and TV. I still don't know if that's possible but since then I have always wondered if the guy still has access to my laptops/tablets/cell phones when they're using WiFi (and to be more paranoid - even when they're not online). Well it's been months and I thought that was over with until today I found a HIDDEN cell phone in Network>Devices. When I first opened "devices" the phone was there for a couple seconds and then gone. Then I enabled to see "hidden devices" and there it was again. It was called w3c_trf_us and model LGL34C (LG Optimus Fuel) and only other info in "details" and "troubleshooting info" is the MAC address. I understand from other posts that my network could be "seeing" devices close by, but this was HIDDEN and when I tried to look at properties, the phone was gone. Any insight, advice, fixes are greatly appreciated!

the phone was either one connected at one point to your network and now it's trapped in the system of windows networking ghosts.

As for the CC thing, someone else got that from somewhere else. The phone is voice over ip and totally in every way possible issolated from your network so some telemarketer did not call your phone, hack in your computer, take a credit card number (with no pin code or expiration date more than likely) and use it to buy a $50 purchase. You are totally being paranoid about it all.

More than likely someone skimmed your credit card number from a store, could have been a while ago. They use skimmers and just collect numbers for a while. Then they probably programmed a blank card with your number and used it. Now the $50 limit is two reason. One to test the card, make sure it's still valid and has some balance on it (good luck charging $5 with my card if they ever got it. lol) and two, under $50 purchases are usually not flagged as big purchases and go through.

TLDR; no, no the telemarketer did not some genie hack because you said no.

Thank you for your reply. I have no idea how voip works so you must think I'm a totally paranoid delusional moron :pt1cable: The main question I've wanted answered is just that - is voice at all connected to the network? Thank you so much for setting my mind at ease. As for the paranoia I admitted in my post, it just seemed very coincidental (not knowing what I know now about voice thanks to you :D) that this telemarketer cursed me out and asked if I was rich and then within days my CC was used. As far as the cell phone is concerned, I found it strange that it was in the list of devices and disappeared after a few seconds. I then immediately opted to show hidden devices and it was there before disappearing again. I was under the impression that you have to change settings to make a device hidden. I'm sure there is an explanation for that too and this is the moron part of me you're seeing again - unless you can school me again :)
