Power Limit issues on GTX 780

I currently am running an ASUS GTX780 DC2. Reported by GPU-Z my max power consumption is listed as 103%, and my power limit is listed at 110%. My graphics card keeps clocking down because of the power limit kicking in (I know this because of MSI Afterburner). Is the reading on GPU-Z inaccurate? I would very much prefer not to flash the BIOS so I could maintain my warranty.

Tried with no difference. Power limit keeps toggling in MSI Afterburner and dropping the core by up to 40MHz
at a time. GPU temp is at 71c during this time and I have the temp limit set to 78c.

Yeah, and this has been going on for its entire life so far (1 year), but I haven't really cared since I have only had performance issues recently.

Well I know evga covers flashed bios. Not sure about Asus. You should check. As long as you don't brick the card you'll be ok. Make sure you use the correct bios or you'll be in trouble. I've unbricked a few cards and its not easy. For warranty, you should make a backup of your stock bios so you can flash back no problem.

Do you think there could potentially be an issue where I couldent flash back to stock bios and I had to RMA? Like something blew up on the card and I couldent even get power to it

Possible. But they wouldn't beable to power it up either so you'd be ok. It's at your own risk, if you aren't willing to deal with a bricked card don't do it. The performance gain is nice though.
