Hello!

Some time ago I bought a pendrive on ebay and it worked just fine. Recently I formatted it and then I started having problems. No matter how I format it , it can be NTFS or FAT32 or MS-DOS the pendrive can only be accessed from my Mac computer. When I connect it to my PC or even windows on bootcamp on my mac they won't let me access it. It will say that the pendrive is broken n I need to format it and when I try to they only let me format it to 200mb storage. When I open the disk manager on windows 7 it says that right now it cannot access the main storage partition on my pendrive.
I did run first aid to verify the pendrive on my mac but it didn't find any errors.
Could you help me solve this problem?

1. Copy any data you have on the pen drive to your Mac.

2. Install Partition Wizard on your Windows PC.
http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html

3. Plug the pen drive into your Windows PC.

4. Start partition Wizard and delete all the partitions on the pen drive.

5. Create a new MBR primary partition on the pen drive.

6. Format the new partition as exFAT.

7. Use the drive on either computer.

exFAT is the only filesystem which works with both Windows and OS X while supporting long filenames. OS X normally uses HFS, but Windows can't read/write it. OS X can read NTFS but can't write it. And FAT/FAT32 don't support long filenames natively (FAT32 stores it as a separate file). If you intend to use a storage device on both Windows and OS X, it should be formatted as exFAT.
