I will have around $600 budget to upgrade my PC. I play games on triple 1080p monitors. Happy to buy some second hand components.

What would you spend it on and why ? Or would you wait ?

Current system

Asrock Extreme 4 Z77 Motherboard - spare x16 pcie-slot, i5 3570K (Ivybridge), 16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 Ram, Windows 10, 128 GB Samsung SSD, 1TB SATA HDD, Corsair AX860 power Supply, I have previously has Crossfire r9 290x which was fine but sold 1 in anticipation of an upgrade a few months ago.

Graphics Card - AIO watercooled R9 290X

I have a decent keyboard, gaming mice, Orbweaver, sound , webcam etc 3 x Benq regular 27inch 1080p monitors.

The most important parts in a computer I'd say are, get a GOOD CPU, GPU, and Mobo.

16GB Ram is more then enough, the SSD will help and the HDD for storage.

R9 290X is a great GPU for a budget gamer or just in general. I would recommend getting a 970/980
For the future games. I know for a fact you can get a decent I5 6th Gen processor and a decent Motherboard all for $250-300.

he already has an overclocked i5 its perfect for the job trust me the biggest factor here would be a new graphics card by far the 980ti is pretty much the titan x's little brother

I understand, but he also has a budget of $600, If the customer is honestly okay with spending some cash, It's always good to get the 6th gen and the DDR4 RAM is pretty inexpensive at the rates now.

Just suggestions, that's what I would do

the biggest difference in performance you will see playing your games would be getting a 980ti ram and motherboard wont do no where near as much plus the 980ti will be very future proof
