Can you bridge a wireless DSL modem to a cable gateway?

Switching from DSL to cable access but the new gateway doesn't support wireless. Can I use the wireless feature of the old DSL modem/router to accomplish this? If so, how?

Assuming by "gateway" you mean a device that has a router, then yes. Set the DSL router up as a wireless access point. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/36406-43-convert-wireless-router-wireless-access-point

If you have a cable modem, then no, you will need a new router. As most DSL systems i've seen use an integrated modem/router that does not have a wan port.

The DSL modem/gateway should be able to work as a WAP only by following the guidelines in the link above. It is certainly worth a try to find out.
