how to use a console controller on pc

i want to be able to play games using a controller now that i have the consoles and thus by extension the controllers

The Xbox 360 & Xbox one wired controllers work natively in windows.
The 360 wireless controller will work with a $10 USB dongle ,the wireless xbone doesn't work though.

If its Sony controller I can't be of any help.

If you have a wired xbox controller its as simple as plugging it into a USB slot on your computer.

If you have a ps3 or ps4 controller, attach the charging cable, plug it into USB in your PC. Find a driver; The "MotionInJoy" driver is probably your 'best' option, even if the software is sketchy in my opinion.

great tank you the only problem is the touch pad is map in watch dogs and since the touch pad doesnt exsist on a 360 controller in screwed there but whatever it stil works
