Hi All! I'm looking to upgrade my PC. I don't want to spend more than $400 right now, but I can hold off for cheaper prices. Could you help me out?

My Rig:

Monitor(s): Dual Acer 23" Monitors
Case: Antec Twelve Hundred
Motherboard: ASRock B75 PRO3 LGA 1155 Intel B75 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel
CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 3.1 GHz LGA 1155 65W
Video Card: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
HDD: (I forget the brand) 2TB non SSD
Power Supply: Antec 850 Watts

I would like a bit more computer power and better graphics. I am unsure if I should just upgrade my CPU or upgrade mobo, cpu, and graphics card all together.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

UPDATE: I forgot to put in the details that I have been running this rig since early 2012! :)

No problem. The i5-4690k is the next unlocked CPU you could get, and it costs about $50 more. You would also need to get a motherboard that would support overclocking, which would also add on a bit. Here's another list with the good overclocking board and the unlocked CPU for comparison:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($216.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($129.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card ($174.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $521.97

Hi greysnox,

You'll need to upgrade your motherboard and CPU to be able to take full advantage of newer graphics cards. Below is as close as I could get to the $400 mark for a quailty CPU, GPU, and motherboard recommendation.

- The i5 processor is much more powerful than your current one. *This is not an unlocked 'k' model, so no overclocking
- The GTX 960 is a much more powerful GPU that will allow you to play modern games at reasonable FPS
- Your current RAM can be used on the new motherboard recommended below

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($163.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($75.60 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card ($174.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $414.58

How much more would an i5 be that I could overclock? I could save a little more. That wouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for your suggestions!!!
