so i was wondering what would be the most adequate cooler for overclocking the i7-4790k.
I plan to OC to 4.6 Ghz (for future proofing) with temps below 85c.
what would be the cheapest cooler for my needs? thx

Solution
hyper 212 evo with an extra fan in a push-pull configuration.

<------ rear | Cooler| Front <----- {airflow}
<------- fan | Cooler| fan <------- {airflow}

The cooler will fit the case fine.
That fan is a case fan and will work fine in the cases optional 1 or 2 front intakes and would also work as the 2nd fan on the 212 as long as you dont mind it spinning at full speed at all times... I usually use Sickleflows and they are available in different colors too.

thx for the help i will be using the cooler master along with a thermaltake VL80001W2Z (link http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=c_00001579) with two top exhaust fans (link http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N1Y4INC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_2&smid=A235LT0EDLFSAR)
cooler+case+fan = 31$$ so overall im pretty happy :) i got the fans when they were just 3$ each!
EDIT: 53$ NOT 31$

if the price seemed unrealistically low that's because a calculation error was made (one which I care not to explain) the total actually came out to be 53. my apologies.
