Hi guys,
I want to upgrade the memory on my Lenovo IdeaPad Y560A laptop. Currently I have dual channel 2x2GB DDR3 533 MHz (according to cpuZ). Windows 7 says:
C:\Windows\system32>wmic MemoryChip get BankLabel, Capacity, MemoryType, TypeDetail, Speed
BankLabel Capacity MemoryType Speed TypeDetail
Bank 0 2147483648 0 667 128
Bank 1 2147483648 0 667 128
C:\Windows\system32>wmic MEMORYCHIP get BankLabel,DeviceLocator,Capacity,Tag
BankLabel Capacity DeviceLocator Tag
Bank 0 2147483648 M1 Physical Memory 0
Bank 1 2147483648 M2 Physical Memory 1
Running the crucial program which provides recommendations for my laptop, it provides the ram model
http://
However I cannot find this model in Romania.
What I can find is:
http://
Looking and the specs on crucial's site, they seem to be identical (voltage, pins) but crucial says the second ram model is not compatible with my laptop. Do you guys know what's the difference between them which would make them incompatible or are they actually compatible despite what crucial says.
Regards,
Andrei
