While installing an SSD, I accidentally unplugged the power cable to one of the working HDD's in my Gigabyte RAID SATA array. When I started up my PC I got a message during POST that I needed to rebuild my array, and one of my drives wasn't detected. After I found and replugged in the power cable, and restarted, I cannot get into the Gigabyte RAID bios setup utility (by pressing control-G). It ignores me and proceeds to launch Win 7. Meanwhile, my PC has slowed considerably and my HDD's sound like they're busy - doing what, not sure. How can I get into the RAID BIOS to rebuild the array?

After posting this, I found a related post that mentioned problems using a USB keyboard... Turns out, by plugging in a legacy PS/2 keyboard and rebooting I was able to get access to Gigabyte's RAID BIOS setup screen. Hope this helps others.

that wouldn't have helped you since you can only create, view, or delete a raid from there but grats on the keybd find.

I mentioned the raid utility because all you needed to do was resync the drives or initiate a rebuild, which may have begun on its own anyways. Download and install the utility you need and at least setup email or txt message alerts so that you know in advance what/any problem the raid controller is seeing.
