I will be buying a Athlon x4 860K, i know it is a low-end cpu, but I will upgrade to a Zen processor when it is released. I was looking for some cpu coolers and obviously i was attracted to the CM Hyper 212 Evo.

But I later found out some Low Profile Coolers that got my attention, Raijintek Pallas and CRYORIG C7 and CRYORIG C1.Both brands seam to be reliable and make good coolers, although CRYORIG is a bit more pricier than Raijintek.
I want to now what do you think about this Low Profile Coolers (or other you might think that are better). Also how does it perform against the CM Hyper 212 Evo.

And if there is also a nice competitor from both brands to the CM Hyper 212 Evo (or higher end coolers) this time not Low Profile Coolers.

Note: My case will be a NZXT s340

Simple installation

Unmatched Compatibility
Zero RAM Interference

Focusing on providing the widest range of
compatibility, the H7 utilizes an asymmetric slanted
heatpipe layout to move the heatsink away from the
RAM zone, Offering optimal compatibility for RAM
with tall heat spreaders on both Intel 115X and
AMD platforms.

but the Raijintek Pallas and CRYORIG C1 or C7 are low profile. of those 3 low profile what is the best one

I dont need a low profile , i just don't really like that cpu cooler blocking all the view to the components

Pallas & c1 perform about the same.
Which is about the same give or take 1-2c as a 212 evo.

The c7 is not in the same league & I would not really recommend for overclocking - its not what its designed for.

Be aware these coolers while low profile have a very very big surface are & cover an awful lot of the motherboard.

C7 would be nice from a price / performance point of view taking into account the smaller size of it. I'm sure you could run 860k @4GHz with that cooler. It might run a little hot in 100% stress like gaming but the CPU can take it and does not mind. TDP is 100W for C7. Note that the TDP for 860k is the same as for the big brother 7870k which is the same processor (!) but without the iGPU active. Thus even as the TDP is the same 95W for the 860k it does NOT mean that the CPU actually consumes this wattage. TDP is a reference value for a cooler that is recommended with this part - not the measurement how much electricity the processor consumes. As it does not have the iGPU active it will consume less electricity.
