Hey everyone, so I just helped my friend build his pc. I turned his pc on and the monitor would just say "no signal" so I figured I should reset the bios since it was my old mobo. It boots up but after I save and exit from the bios the pc resets and there is no image, I have to either reset the bios again or turn the pc off and wait a while. There is also no os on the pc atm and I don't think I can with this problem.
His rig is
Amd fx 8350
Asus m5a97 (I owned it previously)
Xfx r9 280x
Gskill 2x4gb 12800cl9d
Evga 650w gold

I have a feeling its the mobo since I owned it last, but I never ran into any problems with it. Any help would be appreciated .

What are the specs of your memory? That is what they should be set at. Sometimes the wrong memory settings cause problems like this. Maybe the bios has gotten corrupted? If it isn't the memory, flash the latest bios version. If you are already running the latest version, flash it anyways. This can correct a corrupted bios if it isn't trashed already.

So I flashed the bios, but it doesn't seem to change anything. I can use the pc normally but I have to press that mem ok button on the mobo to get an image
