every MSI board I've ever owned never fails on me. I even have a very very cheap $50 AM3+ board back from when AM3+ came out and it's still kicking. I upgraded to the MSI 970 Gaming (AM3+) and that's working great too, also put a Z97 Gaming 5 in my friend's $2k titan build and that's pretty good. Idk, they might have not as good of a small DOA ratio to ASUS but they've never gave me problems.
