So my old card (8800GTS 512) died and I replaced it with a EVGA GT750 (2gb DDR5 128bit). Let me provide a little info.
This setup worked perfectly previously. One screen is a 19" LG LCD TV, 1440x900 connected with a DVI to HDMI cable (TV has no DVI). Other screen is a 50" Panasonic plasma. The only change here other than the new card, is that the 50" is hooked up with HDMI now (in 1080p) rather than component video cable (and 1080i) it had before.
Everything is set to its native resolution @ 60hz
When I first installed the card, It set the smaller monitor to 800x600. and everything had that funny bad low-res look windows has before you've installed drivers. With the newest drivers installed, and with the smaller monitor set to 1440x900, it still LOOKS low res, like it did before I installed the drivers. Colors are a bit weird and text has hazy outlines (banding?)
I have verified it's not a problem with the TV's settings (it was fine before and hadn't been adjusted). For the sake of science, I messed with the picture controls, reset everything to default,AND did the "auto adjust" option, and none of it was the solution.
Here's a video!

Any idea what's afoot here? The closest thing I've found to a solution is an outdated article about reinstalling drivers and hacking a registry entry with your monitors EDID, but what's funny is that Nvidia's control panel actually recognizes both monitors and lists them by their brand name (if that matters).
I'd like to think that I've provided enough info to rule out user error.
Thanks!
